Per the request of our very own Kelsey Fireheart, I've included below the description and explanation behind Beguile, as heard from Fallon on Ravenwood Radio Episode 36. I will try to elaborate on this in the future and include the video that was used in testing, but hopefully this will answer some questions about the surface-level mechanics. Again, I want to point out that this is NOT the full analysis or dissection of the spell yet, but this is a usable understanding of it:
(Thanks to Diana Wildheart, Paige Moonshade, Paul Sandbreeze, and SorceressMiklai for helping me test it out!)
In short, Beguile places an enemy player on your team for two turns. Frankly, if you are under the state of Beguile, wait for the Turn Indictator/Arrow to point at you a second time before casting any Attack-All or Heal-All spells. Extensive details below:
FIRST TURN BEGUILES SECOND TURN:
If the team going first Beguiles a player on the team going second, the victim’s Single Target spells will still be successful in:
However, the victim’s AoE spells will:
Thus, if the victim (on Second Turn’s team) used an AoE in the same round as Beguile (from First Turn’s team), that AoE will help First Turn and/or hurt Second Turn.
Once the round with Beguile is over, the arrow will not point at First Turn the following round. Instead, it will point at the Beguiled player (the victim). Hence, the victim will get to go first on the round after a Beguile. When this happens, the victim’s Single Target spells will:
But their AoE spells will:
SECOND TURN BEGUILES FIRST TURN:
If the team going second Beguiles a player on the team going first, the victim’s Single Target spells -- for two consecutive turns -- will:
The first round the victim is under Beguile, his or her AoE spells will
The second round that the victim is under Beguile, his or her AoE spells will

ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. I pretty much knew this part of beguille, but i still get confused. Sometimes when casted I don't understand what happens. I guess it depends on what they casted, but if it is not heal or attack card that they casted i never see what happened.
ReplyDeleteoooooooooh, I read it again, I see if its a single target spell it is not affected by beguile.
ReplyDeleteWow, confusing. But I think I get it. What about when you aren't in PvP?
ReplyDelete@Anon:
ReplyDeleteThe same thing happens exactly in PVE as it does PVP. That is why Beguile *seemingly* does not work, but usually Single Target spells are used, so they are successful on hitting Wizards if Beguile is casted that same round.
is there an amulet for beguile
